I’ve lived in Nelson since 2001 and have run my carpentry business since 2008.

I specialize in building: kitchen cabinets, custom shelves, built-in benches, and the finer aspects of home finishing. I also install hardwood flooring, custom stairs/railings, crown molding and the like. I have developed a strong and long lasting way to build cabinets that maximizes all the space. I use Baltic birch plywood for the boxes, drawers/shelves. I make solid wood fronts. I don’t use pressboard or MDF, not only for its environmental and health effects but how it is rendered useless if water comes into contact with it. I use a clear finish that is made from vegetable oils and hardwax that is very durable and easy to repair, is food safe, easy on our lungs and the planet (Osmo brand).
